This is Ask Annie. Ask Annie is our school advice column. Please send in any questions to the Cats Kids News mailbox. Here are the questions received so far :
Q. Do kids like neon colors?
A. Well, it would depend on who they are and what they like. You can do a survey to find out about the people in your grade.
Dear Annie,
Q . Our class is very disrespectful to substitute teachers. What should I do?
A. Talk to them about the issue. I am sure that they will understand. If that does not work, then start to take away recess or give demerits to the individuals that are causing problems.
Q. In our class, there are 6 to 7 students who are always talking and interrupting. The whole grade gets in trouble for the behavior of these few. What should we do?
A. Maybe, during inside recess, someone could sacrifice their recess and write the names of the people who are causing the problems.
Q. People are talking about me behind my back. What should I do?
A. You should talk to them. Then, if that does not work you should try to tell a teacher.
Q. I keep hearing rumors around the school and I want them to stop. What should I do?
A. The best thing to do is to try to ignore them. If this is really upsetting, you can tell an adult or a counselor. I hope that this helps.
Q. It is getting harder to do my homework because I am so busy with spring sports. Help!
A. Try getting your homework done at school or you could get your homework done before sports. You could do it on the way to practice or you could wake up earlier. Remember your schoolwork comes first, so talk to your teacher if you can't handle it all.
